Selling CD's at a show is a nice way to make a few extra bucks. Unfortunately , the people who are buying them, for the most part, already know about you. Getting your music heard by people who have never heard of you, now that's a challenge that calls for drastic measures like giving something away for free. Face it, everyone likes something for free. And for the small price of a CD, you can get maximum exposure. People across the country and maybe outside the country, listening to one of YOUR songs and if they like it, trying to get your CD for FREE. You send us a CD and we put a song of your choice from the CD on our main page in our "Why Should We Give you this CD? section. People listen to the song and if they like what they hear then they can follow a link to your website and /or Myspace page to hear more. If they want to try and win the CD then all they have to do is tell us in thirty words or less why we should give them your CD for FREE. We are talking about people listening to your music from across the country, not just in your area, who would normally have never heard of you unless you made it big, which is what we are trying to help you accomplish. We do not charge to list CD's in our CD Giveaway section if you are already subscribed to The Sound From The Underground. If you are not a subscriber then there is a $5.00 fee to put your CD in the listing. We only allow three non-subscribers listed at anytime. CD's are selected on a first come first serve basis. You can send us more than one if you like, but we will spread them out so that a band only has one CD listed at a time. Non-subscribers will have to pay $5.00 for each CD submitted. The CD Stipulations: We do not accept CD's that are labeled by hand or in a case that is handwritten. If you burned the CD yourself then you will have to design and print out a CD label and a jewel case cover and tray card. Please do not send us a CD of songs recorded from a mic hanging in your garage or from a live show unless recorded through the sound system. We ask that your CD's are clean sounding and professionally done. If we do not accept your CD we will notify you by email. If you do want it back then we will gladly send it back to you as long as you pay the postage. As long as your CD sounds and looks professional, there should not be a problem.
